Lot 1611 Spanish / SAMCO 1916 'Mauser' .308 Win #OT-25825

Spanish Military issue short rifle chambered in .308 Winchester. Produced from 1893-1951. Imported by SAMCO, Miami, FL (marked on the underside of the barrel). It features a Mauser style action, a 21.7" barrel, a tangent rear sight graduated to 2000 meters, and protected front blade sights. It also has a smooth blued steel buttplate, smooth curved trigger, chrome turned down bolt, a cleaning rod, and a 5-rd internal box magazine. Serial numbers matched on receiver, floorplate and triggerguard, and a mismatched bolt. Bore is very good with strong rifling. The action is smooth and tight. The wood stock and handguard are good with minor dings and dents, although there appears to be a repair to the stock behind the tang. Blued finish is about 95% with a small amount of edge wear, and visible rust on the bayonet lug and the left side of the front band. The safety lever is missing.
Condition is NRA Fair to Good.
